Delivery and timing
Can the driver call before arriving?
The driver calls or texts about 30 minutes before arriving. Ask for it when you book and it goes on the order. Give a number that accepts texts, and save (562) 513-1288 so the call does not look like spam.
Can you give me an exact delivery time?
Deliveries come in a window, not an exact time, because each truck runs a route. Event units arrive the business day before, so timing never cuts close. For jobs that must be ready by 7 AM, ask for an evening-before drop.
Is there a cutoff to get on tomorrow’s route?
Orders placed by 3 PM go on the next morning’s route. Later orders usually still make it, but the delivery window may be wider. Same-day orders need a call by 12 noon for Whittier and nearby cities.
My event is Monday, a holiday. When is pickup?
Holiday weekends shift pickup to Tuesday. A unit for a Labor Day or Memorial Day party is dropped Friday and picked up Tuesday at the same event price.
Can you deliver to a park or field with no street address?
Sites without an address are fine. Send a map pin or GPS coordinates by text, plus a landmark such as a gate or a light pole. The driver uses the pin to set the unit on the exact spot.
Do I have to be there when the unit arrives?
Nobody needs to be home. Mark the spot, unlock the gate or share the code, and keep dogs inside. The driver texts a photo of the placed unit so you know it is done.
Placement and access
Can the unit go right next to the building?
A unit can sit next to a wall or on a concrete pad by a back door. The door must open freely, and the truck must reach it for service. Keep it a few feet from windows and air intakes to avoid odor indoors.
What if cars are parked in the way?
Tell us when the lot or driveway will be full. The driver needs a straight path about 4 feet wide from the truck to the spot. Blocked access can mean a second trip, which is billed.
Can a porta potty sit on a slope?
A slight slope is fine. A steep slope makes the unit lean and the door swing open. On hillside lots, the driver shims the base level and stakes it down, which matters during Santa Ana winds.
Where should I put it so guests stay out of the house?
Put the unit where guests can see it from the party, near the side gate or the edge of the yard. Add a small sign on the house door that points to the restroom. Visible units keep foot traffic out of the house.
Units and features
Is the waste visible in a porta potty?
In a standard unit, the blue liquid in the tank hides most of the contents. A flushing unit hides the tank completely, since fresh water rinses the bowl into a closed tank. Pick flushing units when guests are sensitive about it.
Is there a light inside?
Standard units have a light-colored roof that lets daylight in. For evening events, ask for a battery light, which is added at no charge when available. Restroom trailers have built-in lights.
Can I tow a unit or pick it up myself?
Self-pickup is not offered. A loaded unit is heavy and spills when tipped, and a trailer unit needs a proper hitch and plates. Delivery and pickup are part of every rental price.
Do you rent portable showers?
Portable showers are not part of the rental lineup. Call dispatch and you will get a referral to a shower trailer provider in the area.
Price and payment
Does the price include delivery and pickup?
Event prices include delivery and pickup within 15 miles of Whittier. Long-term rentals list a one-time delivery and pickup charge on the first invoice. Farther sites show a mileage charge as its own line.
Do you need a deposit?
Full payment is taken when you book an event rental, so the unit is held for your date. Long-term rentals charge the first 28-day cycle at booking. There is no separate damage deposit.
Can I pay when the unit is delivered?
Payment is taken before dispatch, so drivers never collect money. You get an invoice to review before you pay. Approved contractor accounts can pay by invoice after delivery.
Can I get a written quote for my boss or board?
Written quotes are sent by text or email within about 15 minutes during business hours. Each quote lists the unit, days, delivery, pickup, service and tax and stays valid for 7 days, which gives time for approval.
Will the price go up if I wait?
Prices do not change during the 7 days a quote is valid. Availability does. Graduation season, the 4th of July and Labor Day weekend sell out first, so book early for those dates.
Am I buying the unit or renting it?
Every order is a rental. The unit stays the property of Trulo Portable Rentals and leaves at pickup. Units are not sold.
Who pays if the unit is damaged while I am away?
Normal wear is never billed. Damage from fire, graffiti, vandalism or moving the unit is billed at repair cost. If you leave a site unattended, lock the unit, take a photo and tell dispatch.
Cleaning and service
Can I get cleaning every other week to save money?
Weekly service is built into long-term pricing and cannot be dropped. A unit left two weeks fills up and smells, especially in summer. For one or two light users, a single unit with weekly service is already the lowest-cost setup.
Do you empty the unit before pickup?
The tank is pumped at pickup or back at the yard, so you never empty anything. Do not pour anything into the tank except normal use.
Can you pump a porta potty I already own?
Pump-outs of customer-owned units are quoted on request when a truck is in the area. Call with the unit count, tank size and address.
Rental length and pickup
If my event runs Thursday to Saturday, do I pay for three days or four?
The event price covers up to three days on site, so a Thursday-to-Saturday event pays one event price. The unit can arrive Wednesday and leave Monday at no extra charge.
Can I keep the unit open-ended?
Long-term rentals have no end date. They renew every 28 days until you call or text for pickup. There is no contract and no early-return fee.
Does the price go down after the first month?
The second and later 28-day cycles cost less than the first because the delivery charge is billed only once.
Can I cancel one of two units?
A single unit can be cancelled up to 48 hours before delivery for a full refund of that unit. Inside 48 hours, the unit’s rental is refunded and any delivery charge stays.
How do I know a text or invoice is really from you?
Every quote and invoice comes from (562) 513-1288 or the whittierportapotty.com domain and shows your order number. Payment links never ask for a password. If something looks wrong, call the number on this site before paying.
